Richland Memorial Hospital offers a full range of Women’s ultrasound studies, using sonography (or sound waves) to detect medical conditions and to monitor fetal development. Because ultrasound images are captured in real-time, they can show the structure and movement of the body's internal organs, as well as blood flowing through blood vessels. RMH has a sophisticated 4-dimensional Ultrasound Unit. Fetal ultrasounds produce amazing images allowing expectant parents to see detailed images of their baby before it is born. Other ultrasound studies commonly performed at RMH for women include: Breast ultrasounds, gynecological ultrasounds, kidney and bladder ultrasounds, echo / cardiac ultrasounds, and vascular ultrasounds.
